Children from the CCM Homes, together with staff and volunteers, enjoyed an educational trip around Rizal Province and it was a great day of learning for everyone!
They started out visiting a cultural landmark at Binangonan. Here, they saw the oldest known works of art in the Philippines, featuring prehistoric carvings on volcanic rock.
They headed on to a museum In Morong, where they saw historical items that past generations would have used – like clay jars that keep the water cool and other wooden bamboo crafts.
Next there was a quick trip to a windmill farm, a large-scale renewable energy facility overlooking Laguna Bay. The children stood next to one of the wind turbines that generates electricity harnessed from the wind, to supply the needs of around 66,000 homes nearby!
We are thankful to God for His protection and provision throughout this educational experience, and for the staff who cared for the children and the drivers who safely transported our convoy. It really was a blessing for the children to see the wonders of creation and have such a fun, learning trip.
