As a community social worker, the real happiness in my job is not receiving my salary, but seeing the happy faces of my clients as I am able to help them.
In my first two months working at Christian Compassion Ministries I have learned that the key to being happy in your work is first to put in your heart that you are doing this in serving the Lord, to make Jesus the centre of your life, offer everything to Him, then love your work and everything will fall into place.
When I studied, I prayed that God would give me a job in which I would be able to use my voice to share His goodness. That I could be an instrument to the people who still don’t know about God. I’m so glad that God answered my prayer.
Being a Community social worker, I have learnt to be more passionate about working with the different sectors of society—children, young, adults and older people.
As time goes by, I have been able to learn how to manage my time to finish writing reports and how to be more organised with my paperwork.
Working in CCM is my first job since graduating as a social worker. To begin with I was excited and a bit nervous, but I have managed to cope, surrounded by a team of great people who are willing to help me. I thank God for leading me to serve him as a social worker in CCM!
