In October, the CCM Residential Care Program organised a Family day. This is one of the most important events in the CCM calendar. It gives the children and their families a chance to celebrate the meaning of being a family as they spend some quality time together and bond with their loved ones. Some families were able to attend the event which brought smiles to the faces of the children. For children whose families were not able to attend, CCM staff and church members were able to stand as their guardians for the event.
The day included preaching, workshops for both children and adults, games and food. The children enjoyed showcasing their talents in dancing and singing. The children gave an emotional song presentation, singing a song called ‘Mapa’. The song talks about a family who are far away from each other but the parents continue to be their guide, inspiration and strength throughout struggles in life.
Please pray for seeds sown during the Family day. It is a great opportunity for the families to hear the gospel and to be taught truths from the Bible and for our families to learn about how the Lord Jesus can be their strength and true hope.
